File Date Corrector is able to restore File Dates ‘Created’ and ‘Modified’ from Original Creation Date
Set up your new computer and all imported files on your new hard disk have a wrong file date “Created”? Or copied all your vacation photos from your digital camera to your computer and discovered that the dates “Created” of all pictures are the date of copying?
For many applications it is important that the system displays the original creation and modification dates of the files in the Windows file system. Especially for legal documents the original date “Created” is of great importance. Also when sorting your pictures, the original “Date Taken” is needed to be seen in the Windows Explorer as file date “Created” in order to handle your reportage in the correct time sequence.
When copying files to another storage media, Microsoft Windows™ takes the date of copying as the new file date “Created” and not the original creation date or date taken of the files. Therefore, the date “Created” can even be more recent than the date “Modified”.
File Date Corrector for Windows is able to correct simply and fast the system-provided file dates “Created” and “Modified”, also taking into account the correct time zone. For this purpose, File Date Corrector is extracting the necessary information from the metadata embedded within various files such as pictures, video, audio and documents in order to correct the file dates “Created” and “Modified” of the system according to the original creation date / date taken / modification date.
Alternatively, the program can also use a fixed date or extract the date from the filename using a flexibly determinable date and time format. All possibilities can be applied at the same time and the corresponding priorities are arbitrarily adjustable. In addition, the surrounding directory date can be adjusted according to the oldest and most recent content.
File Date Corrector enables to correct the system file dates “Created” and “Modified” of complete directory structures at once. Before definitively applying the corrections, a preview with the intended date corrections is displayed.

What Our Customers Say About File Date Corrector
“I just bought the license for File Date Corrector. After spending a couple hours using another program that required manual entry of the creation date, your program is a great relief. Thanks for making it so simple and affordable. Best $20 I’ve spent in a long time.”

I don’t recall ever having written to a software company to say thank you but really feel it’s deserved. I have migrated my entire family photo album to dropbox and it made all my file created and modified information the same date. Mostly for videos all video editors use file created so makes it impossible to work with the many family clips taken from my iphone. Your software delivered on the promise and fixed my import directory and saved me a world of pain. Many many thanks – sure I will be downloading your directory printer in the year ahead as well.”
